Cecy’s XV Casual Photo Session

I want to share with you a very fun photo session that I did a few days ago.  Jocelyn came in with her mom and sisters….and many other family members which made the session a bit challenging but at the end it was fun.  Jocelyn definitely did a great job!  Here are a few pics from the session….enjoy!

Vanessa

I met Vanessa when she and her now husband came in to ask about wedding pictures about three years ago (more or less) and she now came back for a new photo shoot.  No special reason, just for fun….oh yeah and she won the session from a FACEBOOK special I did a couple of weeks ago.  Mario I hope you like the pics…but I REALLY hope you love them Vanessa…enjoy:

Conoci a Vanessa cuando ella y su ahora esposo vinieron a nuestro estudio a solicitar nuestros servicios para su boda, hace aproximadamente tres años, y ahora volvio para una nueva sesion.  Nada especial solo por diversion…a y porque se gano la sesion en un especial que publique por FACEBOOK hace un par de semanas.  Mario espero te gusten las pics…pero Vanessa espero que a ti te encanten:

Cindy…my cousin….my 2nd mom

A few months ago I was driving to the studio in Weslaco and I got a call from my mom.  She had some terrible news.  She was calling to let me know that my cousin, Cindy, had been diagnosed with breast cancer.   Many things crossed my mind, but the one that stands out was remembering when we were younger.  My brother and I used to spend most if not all afternoons at Cindy’s house.  There were the typical kid fights, pulling, pushing, & hitting among the 3 of us…normal kids stuff, but the one thing that stood out was the love that we all have for each other.  Cindy was always standing up for us, not only with kids, but also with our parents.  When I was in Kinder I broke my wrist when I fell from the monkey bars, but someone started a rumor that another kid in my class had pushed me causing me to fall and break my wrist.  I don’t remember exactly how or what Cindy did, but she went up to the kid and wanted to beat him up.  It was during that time that my brother and I started saying she was our 2nd mom. 

A few months after being diagnosed with this terrible disease Cindy is doing really good.  She has gone through many ups and downs and is still going through her chemo (only 3 sessions left).  What surprises me is that every single time that I visit or she comes over she has a smile.  Yes the chemo may bring her down…but only for a few days and then she’s back to herself once again, showing courage and encouraging other people who she has come to know thanks to this disease.  Many people only wish to have the strength that you have shown, the great spirit with which you have confronted this “bump” in the road.  God has a purpose for EVERYTHING and hearing you yesterday kind of gave me the feeling that you know what it is.  I know this is hard to say, specially at a difficult time like this, but God is good, and I know that the courage, strength and good sprit comes from Him.  May God bless you today and always.

Hace unos meses iba manejando al estudio en Weslaco cuando recibi una llamada de mi mamá.  Tenia unas muy malas noticias, me llamo para avisarme que mi prima Cindy habia sido diagnosticada con cancer de mama.  Me vinieron a mi mente muchas cosas pero una resalto y fue recordar cuando eramos chicos.  Mi hermano y yo soliamos pasar las tardes en casa de Cindy.  Habia todo lo normal…peleas, empujones, y hasta golpes, lo normal entre niños.  Pero ante todo siempre resaltaba el amor que habia entre los 3.  Cindy siempre nos defendia, y no solo de otros niños, pero tambien de nuestros papás.  Cuando estaba en el kinder me cai de unos juegos y me rompi la muñeca, pero en la escuela alguien empezo un rumor de que otro niño me habia empujado y habia causado que me cayera rompiendome la muñeca.  No se exactamente que, ni como, pero Cindy fue a buscar al niño y trato de golpearlo.  Fue durante ese tiempo en la que le empezamos a llamar nuestra segunda mamá.

Meses despues de haber sido diagnosticada con esta terrible enfermedad Cindy esta muy bien.  Ha pasado por altas y bajas y todavia esta llendo a las terapias de chimioterapia (solo faltan 3).  Lo que me sorprende es que cada vez que la visito o ella viene a visitarme, ella tiene una sonrisa.  Si las terapias la tumban…pero solo por unos dias y luego regresa a ser ella misma demostrando su coraje y entereza.  Tambien ha estado animando a otras personas a las que ha conosido gracias a esta enfermedad.  Mucha gente desearia tener el valor que has demostrado, el gran espiritu luchador con el que has enfrentado esta etapa de tu vida.  Dios tiene un proposito para TODO lo que nos pasa y el haberte escuchado hablar ayer me dio una idea de que talvez ya sabes cual es ese proposito.  Ya se que es muy dificil decir esto en momentos como este pero, Dios es bueno, y se que ese valor y coraje vienen de El.  Dios te bendiga hoy y siempre.

Yessica – Photoshoot

I was really anxious to post this photo session because it was done a few months ago but for different reasons Yessica had not seen the results of the session. Yessica was one of the singers for the group "La Onda" and also was part of Univision's reality show "Vive el Sueño". It was also my first time working with the “"EGO" man himself…Jorge Gonzalez, who did an awesome job with the hair and make-up.

Ya estaba muy ansioso por compartir las pics de esta sesion, la cual hicimos ya hace unos meses, pero por diferentes razones Yessica no habia podido ver el resultado de la sesion. Yessica fue una de las cantates del grupo "La Onda" y tambien fue parte del reality de Univision "Vive el Sueño".Tambien fue la primera vez que trabaje con el “"EGO" man…..Jorge Gonzalez, quien hizo un trabajo fenomenal con el peinado y maquillaje.

Ashley – Cotillion

This session was really fun, got to go back to one of my favorite locations. Best part was that Ashley, her mom and sister really loved the place. It was one of those sessions where you just go with the flow…and Ashley did an awesome job. The only downside was….I fell…first thing I checked was the camera but everything was ok. Esta sesion fue muy divertida, regrese a una de mis locaciones favoritas. Lo mejor fue que a Ashley, su mamá y a su hermana les encanto el lugar. Fue una de esas sesiones donde dejas que las cosas fluyan…y Ashley realmente hizo mi trabajo muy facil. Lo unico malo fue….que di un mal paso y me cai….pero lo primero que cheque fue que la camara estuviera bien. Aqui unas cuantas de mis fotos favoritas:

Harlie – Cotillion

This was the first ever session at the new studio. It could not have gone better, and I could not have had anyone better for the first session. Harlie, I hope you had a blast…I did. Here a few pics from the session.

Esta fue la primer sesion fotografica en el estudio nuevo. No pudo haber sido mejor, y no pude haber tenido a una mejor persona en esta primera sesion. Harlie, espero te la hayas pasado de perlas…yo si. Aqui unas pics de la sesion.
